Far better than the rest!!

Out of 10

I am the proud parent of 2 chocolate labs, my oldest Louie is 8 and was diagnosed with cancer in Sept of 08, he had to have numerous surgeries and treatment, and after filing the paperwork with his insurance company (not vetInsurance) I received a letter informing me that his coverage had been reduced to 50% due to the number of claims I had made in the past 6 months, and it was at their discretion as to when his coverage would be returned to 80% (still hasn't). My second lab Tikka is 3 and she just had TPLO surgery, which as you may know is a reconstructive surgery, she received the full coverage from VetInsurance with no problems. I wish VetInsurance had been around when Louie was born, I never would have gone with the other company. I have always received immediate responses to my queries from VetInsurance, whereas with the other, I receive anonymous emails, and letters, but the only person I have spoken with was a rep who told me half is better than none, so I should be grateful I have that for Louie. I am grateful for the coverage for Tikka. Also, my premiums have changed so little in the last 3 years, not like with the other company, Louie's premiums have almost doubled in 8 years, and I only get 50% coverage!! My next dog will be with VetInsurance as well. As with any insurance, read, investigate and research, the money has been well spent in my case.

Please tell me the name of the other company that reduced your claim to 50% due to excessive claims. I'm researching pet insurance for my dog now & have narrowed it down to just a few. I would be good to know which ones to stay away from. Many thanks.

PetSecure reduces to 50%. They did that to me. I found out yesterday that they had reduced it to 50% about 8 months ago.

It states on the compare page that PetSecure reduces claims to 50% with excessive claims.
