I don't usually write reviews before I even have a chance to try a product, but the call center staff at Petplan truly deserve to be complimented. I originally heard about Petplan through a friend and called them intending to sign up my 5 and 8 year old cats. I had a lot of questions, but the rep I spoke to answered every one of them patiently and thoroughly. In fact, I had *so* many questions about how Petplan stacked up to other pet insurers (we were on the phone for over half an hour) that he finally suggested that I go to this site, where I could not only get answers but also see what other people had experienced. So aside from being very helpful, he actually encouraged me to check out the competition. That is always a good sign in my book! When I called back I got another rep who was, if anything, even friendlier than the first one. Again, he explained all the possible choices for policies and outlined what was covered AND what was not covered (very important to me since my 5yo has had allergy issues in the past). When I finally bought the policies and got off the phone, another 40 minutes had passed! Not once did I feel hurried or rushed — in fact, I felt like the rep actually cared about my cats and wanted the best for them. I can't remember the last time I got such good customer service (especially over the phone) and I am 100% sure I chose the right pet insurance for my girls.
