I have had my dog insured with Petplan for the last 6 years and haven't regretted it one bit. It's there if I need it. I think some of the previous posters here need to go back and read the information about their insurance policies, as I'm happy that Petplan doesn't charge more monthly for my older dog and instead has a higher deductible in place. Remember, you are only responsible for the deductible if you claim and it's ANNUAL (unlike car insurance where you pay your deductible everytime you claim). My 1 year old dog and my 10 year old dog have the exact same monthly premium! That's wonderful!I know that Tyson will most likely be needing more medical attention as he gets older, so I'm just fine with the $500 deductible (because 5 minutes in a vet clinic can cost WAY more than that!). I'm thankful that Petplan provided me with the information upfront...some of the other companies don't have their policy information available until AFTER you sign up. Thanks Petplan!
