I now have three Keeshonds, all three are insured. Prior to the three Bears I had my first Keeshond, Little Teddy Bear, (or just Bear as he was known, he was a wonderful wonderful boy (which is why I now have 3 more boys). I started VPI with him around 1997. He always seemd to have to go to the DR. but it might have been "new mom syndrom", however VPI was always good about the claims and I never had any issues. When I lost Bear it was the most devastating thing I ever had to go through and of course "whatever it takes". We left the Emergency room with a bill well over $2,500.00, it was a very nice surprise to see how much VPI paid of that bill. I then ended up with my Smokey Bear 10 days later, then Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo bear 10 months later, each one is covered with their own insurance. VPI customer service has been very helpful in advising what policy to take and very helpful and friendly with any questions I have ever had. Thank you VPI and staff for always caring about the four legged customers and being so kind and friendly to their owners. I have recommended VPI to many of my pet owner friends.
