One of my cats was loosing weight, and upon exam was found to have a large tumor in her abdomen. We brought her to the vet for exploratory surgery with many tears, expecting metastatic in the abdomen and that she may be put to sleep on the OR table. Surprisingly, she had a large single tumor of the intestine, which turned out to be lymphoma. The vet surgeon called us from the OR asking if we wanted to have the tumor resected or have the cat put to sleep. We got the cost and decided to try to save her. The surgery was a success, and she has regained her health and is running around the house and jumping into my lap as active as ever. We submitted the claim to PetPlan. The form was very easy to complete, and they just required a copy of the paid bill and medical records for last 2 years. We received email confirmation of our submission and in less than 2 weeks we received a large check reimbursing us for the cost of care minus our copay and deductible. It was the easiest interaction I have ever had with an insurance. I highly recommend the plan.
