Our beloved 5 year old working (aka Field Bred) cocker spaniel Stanley had a malignant growth removed from his front leg. Due to the location of the carcinoma the surgeon could not achieve "clean margins" ( an acceptable clear area around the tumor) so we were referred to an oncologist who recommended 18 sessions of radiotherapy. Stanley's treatment has already cost about $5000 and is likely to amount to over $7000 so we are so relieved that all our dogs are covered by Petplan. It means we don't have a financial nightmare when our pets are sick. They dealt with our claim very quickly despite it being Christmas.
