I rescued my dog, Kylie about a year and a half ago and decided to purchase pet insurance for her since she had full blown staff infection when I got her and vet said that she was likely to have multiple health issues down the road given her breed (Beagle and Cocker Spaniel mix, we believe) being prone to ear infections as well. Lucky I did purchase this insurance, because it turns out she's also got Pica where she is prone to eat non-digestible items requiring multiple vet visits involving x-rays and radiographs (luckily no exploratory surgery yet). I live alone and off of a relatively low income, so I cannot say how wonderful it is to have peace of mind about taking her to the vet when she starts showing symptoms of having ingested another item knowing that I will get all but fifty dollars of the bill back (I have a $50 deductible per incident). Pet Plan has always been wonderful about sending me a check within 2 weeks of faxing claim and they have refunded me everything but cost of food vet has prescribed thus far. I looked at several different insurance policies before deciding on Pet Plan and could not be happier with my decision. Their customer support is wonderful too, everyone has always been very friendly and helpful on the phone. You will not regret the peace of mind that comes with choosing Pet Plan to insure your beloved pet.
