This time last year my standard poodle became lethargic and quit eating. Needless to say I rushed him to emergency pet clinic where they tested and diagnosed him with hepatitis. He was on an IV during the day and home each night as he also suffers from separation anxiety and therefore was not resting in ICU. After 1 week of IVs and 7 weeks of home administered meds and hand feeding, his bloodwork came back in the normal range. I continue to hand feed him and watch his environment very closely to ensure he doesn't ingest any possible liver damaging toxins. We are grateful for PetPlan who covered a large portion of the multi thousand dollar expense from this ordeal. It was a comfort to know I didn't have to concern myself with finance while nursing my companion back to health. The only reason I don't rate PetPlan a 10 is that collecting all the information to file such a claim is a bit cumbersome. But once received, PetPlan did a remarkable job of reviewing each bit of information and responding with appropriate reimbursement checks.
