A Tail to Tell

Out of 10

My four year old, shetland sheepdog, Spirit, injured her tail in a freak accident last summer. She ended up having an emergency vet visit, plus three surgeries in four weeks due to her tail not healing after each amputation. The third and final surgery was a complete amputation of her long tail down to a stub. I'm thankful that the final surgery was a success and she is doing very well. Her tail may be shorter, but her "spirit" remains unchanged! I was so thankful and impressed with Petplan. After each submission for reimbursement, I received a check within 7-10 days! One simple form, no other questions asked. The total cost of her treatment was approximately $2,000. At a very stressful time, it was such a relief to know that I could seek whatever treatment was needed for Spirit and that my out of pocket expense would end up being minimal. As long as I have a dog, I will have Petplan. I highly recommend them.
