I was told when I got my first cat, that cat's rarely get sick or ever have to go to the vet except for their annual shots. After my first cat got sick and died, and we didn't have insurance on her and we ended up paying out of pocket over $1500. She was only a 1 1/2. When I got my next cat I immediately started checking out pet insurance, just in case (since cat's rarely get sick) and I researched a lot. It's a great thing that I found PetPlan. My cat at 2 1/2 got a urinary tract infection/cystitis, and he is an inside cat and I keep his litter box extremely clean. My vet bills have added up to over $600 over 3 vet visits and I have received a check in the mail as soon as a week later for each occasion. I have recommended PetPlan to all of my friends and everyone I know.
