We were traveling when our dog got stuck under a fence and broke his leg trying to free himself. He's a Corgi mix and very stocky and strong for his short size. Our house sitter came home to find him free but limping with a bad foot/leg. She took him to the vet in the morning and he had a major break in his leg that required a Orthopedic surgeon to rebuild his the leg, do a bone graft, metal, etc. Estimate was over $5000. I called Pet Plan while on vacation. They assured me I was covered, but let me know about he 70% coverage for a specialist instead of 100% (which I have) for other treatment. I returned from my trip and paid the bill while picking him up from the surgery center. I then submitted the claim and had a check in about a week. They were great.
