still waiting for the bank to accept the check

I have the Level 3 insurance for my two cats, have paid premiums since 2011 and have not had to use it until this May 2014. I had over a $3000 bill with the emergency vet. It took a month to get the claim processed then another 2 weeks to get the check. Then when I presented the check to my bank, Wells Fargo to deposit, the bank won't accept the check and tells me it is a fraudlent check. So it is under investigation. Phone calls the 24 pet insurance are useless and I'm still out $5000 between premiums I have paid and the check that Wells Fargo won't accept. Not good.

Was this resolved? I only have problems in cashing the cheques when it's not my bank. I'm doubting it's at fault of the company as large as they are!

I am not one bit surprised by this. Even here in Canada, I presented one of the cheques from 24hourpetwatch, and they held it for over 1 week to make sure it would not bounce. They never have held any other cheque, even personal ones, but this company they did. I am in a similar boat as you, and FURIOUS with this company.

I really think that's an issue with your account not the bank. When I was a student, my bank would sometimes hold cheques before depositing them if this was a a payor I had never deposited cheques from before. I have received numerous large claims from 24PetWatch and have never had them held.

After reading reviews this company is not for my dogs but also know Wells Fargo has a huge amount of negative ratings too. I think you have 2 bad companies you are working with, I feel for you! Thank you for reviewing this company. I'm off to use referred to me by a good friend.
