We have had our dog since July 2012. She has been under the care of the same vet since the day we adopted her. She blew her ACL at 9 months old. Both her primary treating vet and the surgeon who repaired the knee said over and over again that this was an accident and not a pre-existing condition. Our vet contacted Embrace on multiple occasions and told them the same. Embrace denied the claim across the board.
Earlier this month the same dog had a UTI. It was her second one in a year. Under Embrace's policy, this too was considered a pre-exiting condition. Again, claim denied. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY INSURANCE unless you like throwing money into a black hole! If you don't believe me, read the below which was taken directly from their denial e-mail to me.
