Refuse to pay claims

I had Purina Care for all of my pets for many years without any problems. When it switched to 24 petwatch everything was a nightmare. I submitted claims for Colidis and a skin rash in January of 2014. After no response for 2 months I called and was informed they did not receive the claim. I sent in the claim again and an auto generated letter denying the claim on the basis of "wellness and preventative care" neither of which was in my claim. I called back to ask why this was denied, the phone rep said they didn't understand how this wasn't paid and would handle it. Another month went by and no response. Called again, new rep said nothing was done with this claim and he would handle it. Again no response. Called today and was given the "pre-existing conditions" excuse, a total lie and against my policy (which was originally through Purina). I am filing a complaint with the NYS insurance agency, disputing all payments to them from my bank, and strongly advise anyone against enrolling with this company.

Im kinda of in the same situation. I have yet to contact them to explain more why they rejected my claim which is quite similar as yours. Im curious to know what steps you've taken so far. Wish you luck.
