my puppy was attacked by my older dog while I was out of town. I had insurance with Banfield, so asked the dog-sitter to take her there. After a few hours, they told me she was stable and I should be able to pick her up, but they were recommending overnight at the emergency vet. A half-hour later, they said I had to take her to an emergency vet because they didn't have the facilities to take care of her. I had to pay $750 out of pocket to Banfield, even with insurance and then the new vet said Banfield was a terrible hospital and a rip-off and that my puppy was in critical condition and had an infection and it would be another $1500-$2000 just to begin treatment. I can't even cancel the insurance because they are saying that the services they rendered were discounted and that i have to pay the full price for the services if I cancel.
