Our very active standard poodle has had many incidents and illnesses, including recent aspiration of a large, dry clump of horse manure during her walk. She very nearly died of heart failure and asphyxiation, but emergency surgery saved her - to the tune of $4,500. I called VPI to ask how I should handle the claim and was giving excellent advice - to include ALL clinic notes. I did, and we were stunned to receive a check from VPI for $4,200. Now Lucy has been diagnosed with bladder cancer and VPI is covering the bulk of her chemotherapy and other expenses. We signed Lucy up with VPI when she was 6 months old, and the premiums for her Major Medical plan have been more than worth the expense. VPI has been a caring partner for us and we're thankful to have them by our side helping us to provide the best care for our pets.
