I apologize for the delays with your claim. With all first claims we must gather a pet's past medical history. With your claim there were some delays in getting all of the information from the multiple clinics your dog has been to.

Some of the records indicated that your pet had also been set up with a trial through Pet Secure. To ensure we aren't duplicating payment on the same claim, we do need to make sure other pet insurance policies have been canceled, or that claims have already been made against those policies.

I see in your case the other policy had never continued beyond the trial period, and that your claim was completed the day we received written confirmation of that.

I know it is frustrating to experience delays. The first claim is always tough in that we have to gather the medical records. With the busy nature of vet clinics, sometimes it takes them a bit to send the records which results in a delay for you.

The good news is that we only have to go through that process once! We now have all of the past medical records on file, so I can assure you future claims will be processed much more quickly.
