I bought pet insurance for both my dog and my cat Heyoka this year. Approximately 3 weeks after purchasing it Heyoka started vomiting and lost over 1 pound. After 2 weeks of tests and continued vomiting, exploratory surgery was performed and the diagnosis of diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel diease in the stomach was reached. Heyoka proved to be a difficult case to manage and after months of different medications, food, and testing he finally seems to be managed. Over $1900 dollars was paid back to me for his treatments. His illness has been very emotionally taxing (I am now a vomit cleaning expert) and with out petplan we would have chosen euthanasia months ago. Claims were easy to submit and payments returned quickly. Heyoka's plan paid for itself and I have the piece of mind that if anything happens to my dog, I will not have to worry about cost.
