I recently submitted my first claim for my Yorkie after paying premiums for well over one year. The company is BIG on touting their 90% coverage, however, they don't tout that they are very selective about WHAT they will actually cover. In my case, they refused to cover the $57 diagnostic exam to determine why my dog was limping, but they covered the $33 meds that were prescribed. The customer service guy was rude and explained that this coverage is really designed for a catastrophic injury or emergency. Had I known that up front, I would have chosedn Banfield coverage through PetSmart.
