I usually dont write bad reviews but I havent received any help from PetPlan. I have e-mailed and made numerous telephone calls for preauthorizations and claims. I received a e-mail saying preauthorization had been approved for test but then told test were denied. This is just one example of what has been going on for the last few weeks. My golden has been diagnosed with cancer and my time is running out while I do what I can to make her as comfortable as possible but no reimbursements have been made to help my financial burden and possible future treatments. I would give a rating of only one but will give a rating of three being customer service has been really nice and has gone so far as to make telephone calls for documentation, only to be denied a previous claim submitted. Further testing and treatments need to be done and mass cell cancer doesnt wait on time. So upset and heartbroken!!!

Andrea, I'm reading this almost a year after you wrote your comment. I truly hope they stepped up, honored your coverage, and your dog's treatment was a success.

This is my concern. I am looking for pet insurance for my younger dog. My older dog has cancer and has undergone two surgeries. We simply can't afford the vaccine at $2,400 for the initial doses and $600 twice a year.

Andrea, I also just read your review. As a golden owner and lover of all dogs, and having lost 2 to cancer I sure hope your girl is getting the help she needs. And I sincerely hope that your struggles with Petplan are resolved. Best of Luck to you.
