My wife and I, have a Golden Retriever named Molly. She will be eight years old in June. At the recommendation of our vet, we signed Molly up for coverage when she was only 3 months old. Now, this is our eighth Golden, all the previous dogs died from cancer related illnesses. I researched the breed and found our way to Gold Rush Kennels in Princeton, NJ. This with the intent of getting a 'healthy' dog. It worked, she is a blessing. She does have some allergies and chronic ear infections which required a 'TECA' procedure on her left ear. VPI was there when she needed them the most. We were able to see several specialists who recommended the surgery. I was very pleased to find that VPI would cover a substantial portion of the procedure. Routine annual visits are well covered on our policy. Although some of the minor visits could be covered a bit better in my opinion. The point is, that we would have spent substantial amounts of money had we not covered Molly since she was a pup. Claims are easy to submit, fax or snail mail will get you very prompt service. E-mails to confirm receipt of claims, payment amounts and mailing of cheques. I would seriously tell pet owners that these days, its a necessity to have coverage. I believe VPI is among the best and deserves due recognition. I'll certainly sign up the next dog(yes, a Golden!) Congratulations on your fine service and thanks again for being there.
