I have had 4 dogs on VPI. One has passed away but came in handy for all of Jeter's check ups, illnesses and his cremation. One of my dogs has congestive heart failure and needs to see a cardiologist several times a year and gets expensive but the money I get back is a big help. She is also on 3 different medications. One of my other dogs also has a heart condition but it's mild. She has also had cancer and unfortunately I didn't have cancer coverage at the time. But they still covered the surgery so I can't really complain. I have my 2 year old covered with everything just in case. You never know. Vets and specialists can charge whatever fee they want and I don't want to settle for the cheapest. I have my favorite vet and I won't switch just because of price. VPI makes it easy to submit claims and they are quick with their reimbursement. I know there are other insurances out there but I haven't had a problem with VPI so I will stick with them.
