My beautiful Rottweiler, Sebastian, thinks he can fly. Well one too many flights off the deck and we were headed for cruciate ligament repair on both knees. It was nice to be able to say "let's get it done". The second surgery maxed out over the reimbursement schedule. It didn't matter because now thanks to VPI I have my healthy, happy pooch back. My last Rott cost me around $7000.00 in surgeries and diagnosis of cancer in his life time. After that I decided I would never have another pet without insurance. One x-ray costs about a years premium payments. The one thing lacking in VPI coverage is it would be nice if they covered more flea and heartworm costs, after all these are two of the most preventative measures you can take to keep your pet healthy. What is covered is about a third of the yearly costs. And I can't choose one over the other. Thank you so much VPI, lolo!
