10 years ago when I moved to MN we started taking our dogs to Banfield. It didn't take long for things to go wrong on the Wellness plan. Our dog was consistently misdiagnosed with skin issues that he didnt have, and when my cat had kidney failure the vet put him down with no warning in my arms (he already had the iv in). After that my older cat began to have issues, they pushed me into a welness plan. He died 2 days later. I was stuck with 700$ in vet bills and 11 more months of payments for the top wellness plan. I considered it a lesson learned, but we are living in a different state now, and we live in a small town, the vets here are awful, rude and over priced. So I thought it was time to give Banfield a go again, even though the drive is 40 minutes. Diagnosed my kitty with feline asthma, gave her antibiotics and steroids told me if she had issues that I could bring her back anytime. But today I learned anytime means only if the schedule is open, and they aren't having a staff party. Thats right, my cat is dying before my eyes because she cant breath and the b**** of a receptionist was rude and told me it wasn't her problem. Seriously? I pay your wages, I pay for a wellness plan, and my cat is again on deaths door, but you have a Valentines party so its not your problem?! Worst yet is I am going to have to fight it out with Banfield about the remaining 11 months of Premium care which I refuse to pay now. They can take me to collections, I am going to take them to the BBB.
