Healthy Paws has provided exceptional service

Healthy Paws has provided exceptional support for our two Cunucus (Arubian dogs). Tiana underwent TPLO surgery on her left knee in April 2023 and her right knee in June 2024. The reimbursement process was swift, and customer service has been excellent. Monthly premiums are reasonable with minimal annual increases. Their coverage has been comprehensive, and I would not have been able to afford approximately $15,000 for the two surgeries Tiana required without their support. Healthy Paws Insurance covered around 80% of all expenses, including medication and follow-ups. Refunds were deposited into my account within three days of submitting the necessary medical records and bills, with no questions asked. Healthy Paws also follows up with emails to check on Tiana's well-being. Overall, the service has been outstanding. Keep up the great work.

Sure seems like a scam to me

Sure seems like a scam to me. We purchased the Healthy Paws insurance for our new puppy Charlie in Jan. In May I was told his puppy incisor teeth had not fallen out and would need to be extracted. I did the oral surgery and filed the claim, but they always seemed to need more information. Then would then almost immediately close the claim. I would open a new claim, after spending a ton of time requesting info from our vet. Now after providing everything they have requested, with a complete medical history from 3 months of age, the Explanation of Benefits says "outside the policy period" and it seems to have been denied. I have emailed them requesting an explanation and asked to cancel my policy. It seems like their company moto must be "deny, deny and hope you die."

Examination Charges are NOT covered.

I purchased a policy for my pet for Illness and accident over the phone. I was not informed or disclosed any kind of exclusions during my purchases. When my pet got sick after 3 months with an upper respiratory infection I took my pet to a Vet who examined him and prescribed him antibiotics. The same day I submitted a claim and I was informed that the examination by the Vet would not be covered which was $97. due to an exclusions. The only thing they covered was $22 medications for my pet. I think they should have disclosed the exclusions during my purchases of the policy that examination charges are not covered if your dog is taken to a Vet for illness. Now I have canceled my coverage with Healthy Paws and got similar coverage for half the price that covers the examination charges and prescription for illness visits.

Great Pet Insurance

Although pet insurance can be quite expensive when your dog hits the age of 12, I have had nothing but a positive positive experience with Healthy Paws. I have never once had to fight them on a claim, they are fast with reimbursement and processing, and I have been with them almost 11 years. I appreciate this company and the ease at which they make the entire experience so that I can focus on my dog and her health. I do not often write reviews but I would definitely recommend this company for anyone looking for pet insurance.
