If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. We’ve been paying a monthly premium on our 3 cats for 4 years. Cats we’ve had for 9 years, adopted from little kittens. When our cat Titus took ill with bladder stones and a blocked urethra, it cost over $4000. And healthy paws refused to cover any of it. We would be better off not paying the premiums and just save our own money. If you’re going to take money for coverage and then not pay for medical treatment, you’re just stealing from people. They paid for some treatments for our other cat when he was having seizures, so why they won’t pay now is beyond me.

They’ll take your money for years and not pay

When you buy insurance for your pet, pay premiums for 4 years on 3 cats you’ve had for 9 years since kittens, have one of them come down with a medical emergency and feel confident about having insurance for just such emergencies, and then have Healthy Paws not pay a penny. Then you just got robbed. We’d have been better off just squirreling money away than to throw it away for insurance that doesn’t pay specifically what it’s for. These guys are thieves.

what a great company with competent and…

what a great company with competent and kind people. We had a big dog surgery, unexpectedly took a huge financial bite. Fortunately for us and our baby girl, we were covered with the 80% which was massive help. Most of all, the process was painless to submit and we had a refund back in our bank in 3 days. AMAZING and well run and efficient company.

rate keep going up

I've been a client for many years and the rate just keep increasing. It's not really worth it at this point. The worst part is that they do not cover tooth extraction from cavities, which will cost you about $2000+. Stay away and look for a company that do provide dental coverage

Affordable insurance with great service

I had 2 cats 1for 16 yrs and 1 for 20. They both had a pet insurance plan until they passed, but the plan I have my 1 year old on now far surpasses the one I previously had. The healthy paws plan is amazing. I had to take my little fur baby to an emergency vet a few nights ago because she ingested something she shouldn’t have. I received the bill and when we got home and settled her, I started a claim. 90 percent back within less than 48 hours via direct deposit. I was shocked how quick and efficient this was. I used to wait at least 2 weeks to be reimbursed by the old plan I had. The 90 percent reimbursement is super great and I even received an email to see how our girl was feeling. I totally didn’t expect that at all. They even responded to my email. This plan is the best!!!! The people are courteous, caring and available. Excellent company to insure your pets with!!!
