Don't choose this company if you need same day service.
I was promised a direct payment to my vet clinic for my pet’s surgery, to be paid on the day of the procedure once it was completed. However, after the surgery, Healthy Paws was suddenly unable to process the direct payment as promised.
I spent hours trying to reach someone who could actually explain what was going on, rather than reading from a script. In the end, I was forced to pay the full cost myself. I was reimbursed two days later, but that defeats the purpose of having pet insurance.
Insurance should be there for situations where the upfront cost isn’t feasible. The lack of communication and follow-through made an already stressful situation much worse.
