We have been a Healthy Paws customer for six years and have policies for both our dogs.
Our experience has been that Healthy Paws is easy to work with and they provide hassle free and timely claims service. All of our questions are answered quickly and the claims payments are very prompt. Having pet insurance definitely eased the stress when we had to deal with a very sick dog. We will definitely keep our pets insured with them — and we highly recommend them.

Healthy Paws review
We've had Healthy Paws insurance for a few years, and plenty of places recommended not having pet insurance, but we never got rid of it. Then our 2 year old black cat Manny got bitten by a rattlesnake, and we had to rush him to the ER. The hospitalization and medication cost over $3000, but when we got him back, he was very depressed and sitting in the litterbox. It turns out the stress from the whole situation caused a urinary blockage, so we had to rush him back to the vet to remove the blockage and hospitalize him until the numbers on the bloodwork looked better. That cost us over $4000, but after several claims which were processed fairly fast, Healthy Paws paid for the lion's share of our costs, and checked in with us to ask how Manny was doing (he's back to his old self now). There were definitely times we were worried we wouldn't be able to cover his costs, but Healthy Paws helped us through the entire time.

My company endorses this company as part of our benefits package however, when requesting a quote I was told that my healthy 7 year old lab mix was not eligible to be insured through them based on her age.
What in the actual....

Reliable coverage when unexpected veterinary issues arise
We’ve had Healthy Paws for both of our dogs for several years now and they have been so reliable in the service they provide. If you read what is covered vs not, you’ll never have a nasty surprise for why a portion of the bill isn’t covered. In our experience, they have ALWAYS covered what they claim to cover, super easy to file a claim, and their reimbursement is prompt (within 10 days). Could not ask for a smoother experience.
We’ve had a couple major medical expenses for our dogs in the last two years (tumor removal, knee surgery) and having reliable pet insurance made it less financially stressful to get the care our pets needed.
