Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Upon getting our dog, Charlie, two years ago I began researching pet insurance companies and came across Healthy Paws...boy are my wife and I glad we did. We have submitted several (and I mean several) claims over the last two years and each time Healthy Paws has been prompt and attentive. They have always reached out to make sure Charlie is doing well after the submission of a claim. On top of that, each and every claim has been processed in a timely fashion and reimbursement checks sent out within in days...I cannot emphasize this enough. Healthy Paws is excellent about processing new claims and issuing the appropriate reimbursement based upon the coverage we selected. For example, Charlie had some digestive issues a few weeks ago and I submitted two claims as a result. After emailing the claims forms to Healthy Paws, I received emails within an hour or so that indicated each claim was received and being processed. Within a couple of more hours, I received two more emails, one for each claim, that indicated the claims have been fully processed and explanations of benefits were included therein. With three days I had my reimbursement check for each claim in my hands. I'm telling you, you cannot beat this company. They cover exactly what they say they will and never give you the run around. My husband and I adopted our first pet in August 2013. Buddy is a 7 1/2 year old Cockapoo who is in good health. We were told to look into Pet Insurance and after a lot of research we decided to go with Healthy Paws. We decided on this company due to the promise of speedy service, great customer service and high payouts with low premiums. Everything that was stated was accurate. Buddy has an issue where he was bleeding when going to the bathroom. He had to go to the pet hospital overnight for monitoring, testing and IV's. This was our first claim and as soon as Healthy Paws received the files from our vet the claim was paid. We received two phone calls to ensure the vet was sending the documentation. We were emailed when the claim was sent. Most surprisingly, we were emailed a few days ago, just to see how Buddy was feeling. I would recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owner due to the no hassle policy who is everything they say they are, and more.

Rocco is a typical, very healthy 70-pound Bracco Italiano puppy. Like all of us, medical issues come up and I wanted to be sure from his earliest puppyhood that we would be protected against "major vet expenses" in the event of a catastrophic accident or such. Thank G-d, this has not occurred but I know HealthyPaws will be there for us should we need them. How do I know this? Because each and every minor medical issue that Rocco has had, HealthyPaws has been there with us. They are extremely well organized and claims are processed nearly immediately, usually within 24 hours. I could not be happier with my choice and already have friends who have chosen HealthyPaws at our recommendation! My only hope is that they will add "Bracco Italiano" (i.e. Italian Pointer) to their list of breeds...! :)))

Nala has unfortunately had to use her health insurance a couple of times now the most recent being an intestinal blockage that needed surgery to remove a foreign body. Six days after surgery she was painful and had a fever, we rushed her to the ER vet on a Sunday and needed another surgery to remove an abscess that would have killed her. The surgery started out as exploratory because there was no definitive answer. Without Healthy Paws we may have done a wait and see but were able to make the right decision that saved her life. Thanks to Healthy Paws it's the best decision we could have ever made for our dogs care. I have been thrilled with how quickly they process the claims and how easy the entire process is. They're the best hands down!!!

I looked for an inclusive health policy for my pets, and after doing much research found Healthy Paws. Their customer service is top notch, and they respond quickly and processed my e-claim within one hour. Now, that is service! I would highly recommend this company to my friends and family, and sent my vet my comments as well. Great company.
