The fine print makes it worthless
In my opinion, this company is incompetent and verging on fraudulent. Their promotional material says that their plan "covers new accidents and illnesses." That's not true. They do not cover veterinarian charges, which are the bulk of what you pay if your pet is ill or injured. This is incredibly misleading and makes their insurance policy almost worthless.
One day later:
It's nice to see that Healthy Paws is monitoring this, even on a US holiday. Because you've engaged, here are a couple of hypothetical situations for you to answer:
1. Insured pet is injured and needs urgent care at a 24-hour vet. Bill has charges for the vet and for x-rays. What's covered? (Ignore deductible and co-pay - we know those will be paid by pet owner.)
2. Same situation, but pet needs surgery. Bill has charges for the vet, x-rays, and surgery-related items like drugs and disposables. What's covered?
After you reply (of if you don't) I'll post the answers I got as a Healthy Paws customer.
