Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our one-year old puppy had just gotten neutered when we realized something was very wrong. He was being fairly unresponsive and we noticed his gums and tongue were white, which can be an indicator that oxygen is not reaching the area. We took him into the urgent care and found out he was hemorrhaging into his abdomen from his recent surgery. They took him overnight with IV and fluids and helped him while his blood reabsorbed. They gave us the quote for the potential cost of treatment and it was so nice to just say "whatever he needs" and not have to worry about choosing cost over care. He was home and healthy within a few days. We submitted our paperwork for the claim almost immediately (and it was so nice to be able to reach out to their customer service for friendly advice on how to correctly submit the paperwork!) and received our approved refund check 6 days after our claim was opened! It was such a pleasant surprise how easy and quick the whole process was. Without Healthy Paws, things may not have turned out as good for our pup and we are so thankful to be members of the Healthy Paws family. I recommend Healthy Paws to all of our friends and family. Our family might not have been the same without them.

Healthy Paws is the best pet insurance provider in the market. I did my due diligence last year in looking for the best coverage for my dogs (4 of them) and I picked Healthy Paws due to the extensive positive reviews written about them. At first I was skeptical not knowing if they are truly what the reviews say but they were right. I had to file a claim last week for my doggie,Fritz,who tore his ACL and needed cruciate surgery. Since Fritz didn't have a pre-existing ACL problems, Healthy Paws approved my claim (80% of the bill)and questioned nothing on the medical invoice submitted to them. They reviewed the claim and approved to pay within a week, yes a week. I heard horror stories from some of my friends who filed claims and they were getting the run around and wouldn't even return calls. This is not the case with Healthy Paws...they get back to you via email or phone call at lightning speed. Thank you, Healthy Paws, for helping Fritz get the much needed surgery to be able to walk normal again.

Our cane corso injured his leg and over the course of treatment we discovered that he actually had a torn ACL, which resulted in needing a very expensive surgery. I have had Healthpaws Pet Insurance for over 3 years. Recently our corgi, Taylor underwent bladder and kidney surgery. Due to infection her kidney had to be removed. In addition, she underwent bladder surgery for stones as well. You can imagine that these costs for her diagnosis and surgery ended up being over $7000. I submitted my claims and was very pleased with the rapid processing of the claims. It was painless and I didn't get the usual claim denials that typical insurance companies (human) give to us on a daily basis.On top of that, I received an email from the company checking on how Taylor is doing.
