Instead of writing a review, I just copied and pasted my response to a Healthy Paw representative who was checking on our standard poodle, Georgia.
"Georgia is recovering nicely form her liver failure and our hopes is that we can start to cut down on her medication. Unfortunately, in getting back to her old mischievous self, she swallowed and passed a nylon stocking, causing quite a disruption to her digestive system.
Thanks for your concern, my wife and I hate to think of the decisions we’d have to make if we didn’t have your service.
best,
Nicholas

Healthy Paws ROCKS!
After a escaping to the outside and spending the night outside, and a scuffle with a neighboring territorial cat, our female, Taline, received some care at our vets. Once Healthy Paws received our claim, they promptly reviewed the documents submitted, and paid the claim within about two weeks. Then, our male, Zaboo, dug through a small kitchen garbage can, eating who knows what, and we feared an obstructed bowel. Thanks to our Healthy Paws insurance, I did not have to worry that I couldn't afford to do whatever necessary to bring him back to health. Thankfully, after a weekend at the vets and some meds...he simply had an upset tummy and is now back to his inquisitive, feisty self, and Healthy Paws, exactly as promised, handled our claim quickly, painlessly, and courteously, and even sent emails checking on them. How awesome! Human insurance should be so amazing!

Hoping the hype about this company holds true...
This is the third pet insurance company I've had experience with. I thought it would be a good choice because of the unlimited lifetime benefits/unlimited claims. Now I'm wondering. Our little guy was adopted in six months ago. Three months ago he became extremely ill while out on a walk. I carried him home, called our vet, piled into the car and off we went. Everything is fine now, we don't really know what the cause was, and our expenses were under our deductible so there was no payout. That's fine. What caught me off guard is the fact that the emergency exam is not counted toward the deductible. When I read that exams weren't covered I guess mentally I heard "regular well visit exams aren't covered" not "no exam, despite emergency circumstances, will be eligible for claim nor does it count toward your deductible". So I'm thinking about changing companies. Not sure what I'll do. But it truly seems to me that the examination is a major part of an emergency treatment and should not be considered on a par with a regular well visit. I've given seven as a rating because the review won't go through without a rating. I'm not really sure how to rate this plan. They're honest--this point is listed in the policy--I just don't know how many other people will have the same reaction I had, that this is part of an emergency treatment, not just an exam. I'm just hoping things are better when I have something truly expensive pop up, as I know it will.

I can breathe!
My Boston Terrier had an eye that ruptured after a minimal eye injury. Healthy Paws really had our backs! With all over the non emergency bills, to the E.R. visiit to emergency surgery at OSU in Stillwater! I never even received a call asking any questions, justt emails telling me my claims have been processed and my refund is on the way. I couldn't believe! Really impressed. Thank you for all your hard and fast work you do, you honestly have our backs!

Healthy Paws
My 3 1/2 year old Dachshund, Macey, required major back surgery. Because she had Healthy Paws pet insurance she was able to have the surgery and physical therapy required to get better. She is doing great and is now walking well. She is still in physical therapy, but the doctor says she is well on her way back to "normal doggy life". Because of Health Paws I was able to get Macey the best care possible. The claims process took approximately a week or so, but the claims representative was there to let me know exactly what was needed to get the claim settled. I am so grateful that I chose Healthy Paws for her pet insurance. I reviewed many other companies and Healthy Paws seemed to be the best and after this I know it is. I have referred several people to Healthy Paws and three people have already signed up.
