Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

The treatment for my Riley's traumatic spinal injury has been comprehensive and expensive. Healthy Paws has made the claim process so easy! The email updates and pre-filled claim forms are outstanding. The coverage is just what it said it was when we got the policy 3 years ago. We do not have to worry about Riley's care affecting our ability to pay our other bills. Such peace of mind is priceless.

The personnel at Healthy Paws are polite, attentive and caring. First, the policy is much better priced than competitors. Second, they do not have a complicated reimbursement schedule. You simply pay one annual deductible and copay, and that's it. Third, you get a live person 24-7. Fourth, they respond promplty by phone and email. Fifth, they process claims promptly.And, sixth, they follow up to check on the welfare of your pet. They are THE VERY BEST. KUDOS!

When our lab was injured by another dog it was very frightening. Of course this would have happen off hours when our vet was not open. We went to an emergency 24/7 animal hospital where my dog spent the night after he was stitched up.I felt somewhat reassured that some of our out pocket expenses would be reimbursed. The only thing that could have been better with the claim was the reimbursement of the $100 emergency vet fee, feel they should consider covering this fee as it was not a regular exam.

I did extensive research before enrolling my two pugs with Healthy Paws. Everything I read before enrolling convinced me that Healthy Paws provided the best coverage for the $s, the fastest claim response and the highest claim reimbursement - every time! All this has provided to be unequivocally true! They even personally contacted me to check on how my pug was doing/recovering after her extensive surgery, as well as to assure me they would continue to send positive vibes and help to ensure that our pugs continued to have access to the best medical care! My wife & I are elated to have Healthy Paws with us!

I purchased Healthy Paws insurance for my dog based on representations made by company agents and good reviews relating to coverage. I wanted to avoid an insurer who arbitrarily denied coverage. Unfortunately, we have had a negative experience with Healthy Paws. Healthy Paws has taken the position that any time our dog experiences diarrhea, which is not the result of any preexisting condition, Healthy Paws has no obligation to provide coverage. This position contradicts what the representative told me on the phone prior to purchasing the policy and the language of the policy. I attempted to resolve this issue with Healthy Paws prior to posting this review, but it has refused to provide coverage.
