We decided to adopt TWO older Golden Retrievers that had been together their whole lives and were 8 & 10 yrs old and given up to the Humane Society. When we looked into insurance for older dogs we found that Healthy Paws not only would cover them but had the best plan. Even though there were some pre-existing conditions that understandable couldn't be covered, and our 8 yr. male died of cancer after only 4 mos., we have been very well covered for the subsequent issues that have developed with the older female. It has made caring for aging and older adopted pet so much more possible. We have NO concern or hesitation in taking her into her doctor. It has helped her to have a healthy, happy second life.

I purchased Healthy Paws pet insurance for my dog a little over a year ago. I did quite a bit of research to choose what I hoped was the best plan. Because of other positive reviews I'd read, I went with Healthy Paws. I chose the 90% coverage plan and wondered if the company was legit. Would they really cover claims if my dog became ill or injured? It seemed too good to be true, but I'm happy to report that it's not. Earlier this month my dog had surgery to remove two mast cell tumors. Because we'd already met our deductible, Healthy Paws paid 90% of all surgery costs, including tests leading up to surgery, equipment we needed when we got home, medication after surgery, and so on. Submitting my claims was fast and easy (I did it online but also checked my claim status with the Healthy Paws mobile app on my phone). I received my checks very soon after claim submission and when I called with questions about how to submit medical records from my vet's office, I got fast, reliable, and friendly help. I've been telling all pet owners I know to purchase Healthy Paws for their furry friends. You won't regret it!

Hello to you all! Thanks for your concern about Nemo. He is doing much better. He is now able to eat and has gained back up to his 9 pounds. His surgery scar looks nicely healed, the drain site also. We are keeping fingers crossed that the rest of his recovery is going to continue as uneventful. We don't want any surprises down the road so we are being careful with him and keeping follow up appointments religiously! It is so wonderful to see his wonderful personality return, and he is able to keep himself clean now. We didn't realize how sad his coat was looking until after the surgery. Wow! We were really dense not to see his problem, but it did come on gradually. I've had excellent service so far with Healthy Paws pet insurance! Making sure I had pet insurance since day one has been one of the smartest decisions I have ever made as a pet owner. Zoë got very sick with a respiratory infection which meant lots of trips to the vet and healthy paws were extremely fast with filing all my claims and mailing reimbursement checks back to me. They also have an app which makes things so much quicker! Every time I tell other people about healthy paws and their benefits they are amazed and consider switching because their current pet insurance just doesn't measure up!
