So easy a caveman could do it

With Healthy Paws insurance, we didn't have to worry when our dog needed over $600 in tests to check him for an intestinal blockage. The claim process couldn't be any easier. Just upload a copy of your invoice and the reimbursement check is in the mail a few days later. They even emailed us to see if he was doing better. We highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for illness/injury insurance for their pet.

Great Service and Caring Staff!

Health Paws made it easy for us to submit our claim which was taken care of in a week. They even followed up with us to ask how our dog was doing. Healthy Paws provided great service, has great people and provided a really quick reimbursement. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pert insurance.

Absolute Scam, Buyer Beware!

I have two insurance's one for my older Pug, Healthy Paws and one for my younger pug, Embrace. When I first got the insurance, my Vet faxed over my medical records to each insurance company. Embrace immediately let me know what was covered and what wasn't due to preexisting conditions and I had no issues filing claims and getting reimbursed. I heard nothing from Healthy Paws, and thought everything was fine and continued making my payments, about 4 months into coverage I make my first claim, first they tell me they don't have all his records, even though I know they did because they referenced a vet that they would only know I went to previously because it was in my current vet's notes, so after going back and forth with them for a few weeks about the vet records, they get back to me and tell me that because my dog was overweight they wouldn't cover a thyroid test, because it's considered a pre-existing condition. First of all my pug has never had a thyroid test before and tested negative for any thyroid issues, so how is that a preexisting condition? I also feel like it's a real stretch to say that being overweight in the past is a reason not to cover a thyroid test. I also think it's it's interesting that they had no problem taking my money for several months without having all the information they needed to ensure appropriate coverage. I cancelled immediately and wish I could put my older pug with Embrace, but they have an age cap, so I will be looking elsewhere. Buyer Beware.

You've got a friend . . .

After two dogs whose medical bills drained all our savings, we decided to invest in an insurance policy for our current baby, Charlie (with the secret hope we'd never have to actually make any claim - right? Spend the money and then nothing will happen - MENTAL insurance . . . ) Unfortunately, (and this was just 5 months into our policy) our pup didn't get the memo on not kissing toads and became violently ill, requiring emergency treatment in the middle of the night - BIG $$$. So for the first time we contacted Healthy Paws to submit a claim - to be honest, not really sure what to expect: grief? fine print exclusions?... To our amazement, not only was submitting our (online) claim clear and simple but we immediately got a "processing" response, everything promised was paid QUICKLY and best of all, we received a PERSONAL email asking how our Charlie was doing!!! Our vet doesn't even do that! So Healthy Paws, every penny we send you is WORTH IT and we will recommend you without hesitation. Thank you for the outstanding customer service.

Healthy Paws - Happy Client

We signed up with Healthy Paws and my husband was not thrilled with us paying $64/month for something he did not believe in. In July we took our Boxer to O.S.U. for knee surgery. Healthy paws has a yearly deductible, not per incident deductible. They paid 80% of our expenses minus the deductible and $140 for xrays. So our $3,065 out of pocket was reduced to $975.00. Very happy with the speed of their responses and processing time and reimbursement. My husband is a believer now!
