Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Almost 4 years ago we rescued our pit bull girl Josie from a local shelter, she had been thrown from a car at barely 2.5 months old. We've never had a dog before, only cats (were insured with a different company that totally disappointed!). A friend of mine has her boxer insured with Healthy Paws and said if I wanted to insure Josie, insure her with Healthy Paws, they rock. So I did.Nobody insures their pet in hopes to ever have to use the insurance but Josie tore her first ACL at only 6 months old. She had to wait until fully grown to have TPLO surgery and Healthy Paws was absolutely amazing when it came to dealing with our claim. They really care about the animal, ask for their well being, follow up after surgeries, they process claims quickly and keep you informed about it at all times, too. They have several, all easy, straight forward and convenient ways to submit paperwork for claims and do not make you jump through hoops to get reimbursed. Nor do they question your vet bill and deduct or straight out decline reimbursement altogether without good reason like my other insurance did. Josie had to have several surgeries since and Healthy Paws hasn't dropped us, or be mean to us. A few months ago I rescued another puppy and of course immediately insured her with Healthy Paws as well. I feel very safe with my dogs having Healthy Paws insurance and I have been telling a lot of people about it already. You don't know if or when your pet will get ill or injured. Hopefully it won't happen but just in case and peace of mind - get Healthy Paws pet insurance!

I am so glad I signed my dog on with healthy paws the minute we got her home at 8 weeks old. We have had to submit several claims over the past year and healthy paws has always reimbursed us back with no issue. My biggest claim yet was for a luxating patella surgery this week and I sent the invoice to healthy paws and they turned the claim around with approval and reimbursement back within two days! So impressed with this company even more so now after a major several thousand dollar surgery like this. I am an extremely satisfied customer with Healthy Paws and will always make sure my fur babies are covered by them.

Fabulous service. When my puppy was unexpectedly injured, the process to submit claims was seamless and the reimbursement check came immediately. They even sent an email checking in on my little pup so see how she is doing.

I am the unfortunate owner of a beautiful golden retriever who in five weeks was diagonosed with two different cancers the second requiring emergency treatment and surgery. Never once did Health Paws hesitate to cover my claims and in five weeks there were many. They made it possible to gve my dog the best medical care available. I have had AKC insurance that would not cover medical care even though I had never filed a claim in 7 years (a different dog) I quickly canceled and was fortunate to find Healthy Paws. They answer claims in two to three weeks.

We've had Healthy Paws insurance since 2010---and they are amazing in all respects! Claims are handled so quickly and easily it's hard to believe, and they cover more than I would have ever dreamed! I would recommend this company to anyone with animals that they want to protect---and we will continue to have coverage on our animals with Healthy Paws forever. If I could buy this insurance for myself I would do it in a heartbeat!!!! One of our Berners had two torn knees, and it has been ongoing treatment for the last three+ years---once our deductible is met, they pay claims within a week. This insurance has saved us literally thousands of dollars!
