Fantastic Company

I have two cavalier king charles spaniels. If you are not familiar with the breed, there are several specific health concerns that are associated with them. Because I wanted to make sure that my animals were able to receive the best care possible, I decided to invest in pet insurance for them. I did extensive research on all of the companies, and ultimately ended up with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for several reasons: 1. No Anual cap on claims: this was very important to check, as with your premiums, some companies have caps at around 1,500.00 a year. This made no sense to me, given the comparison of premiums and the coverage.healthy paws has no annual cap, the only company I could find that offered no cap. 2. Pre-existing condition coverage: again, this was a fine print obsession for me. My older cavalier had a luxating platella in his right knee prior to obtaining coverage. This is very common, so I wanted to make sure that any insurance company I went with would cover a similar injury to the other leg. In the context of pet insurance, this is apparently referred to as a "bilateral condition". Healthy Paws was the ONLY insurance company who had very minor restrictions on Bilateral pre-existing conditions, only ACL injuries, which seemed very univesal to all companies. 3.Reimbursement values: this was the best around, I ended up selecting the 90% reimbursement, with a slightly higher premium. 4. Adjustable premiums: this allowed a lot of freedom in deciding h

High Expectations Met

As someone who has designed and applied many consumer/client satisfaction surveys and interviews, I've always felt that expectations rather than "satisfaction" rule the day. My firm pioneered "expectation-loaded" surveys, so with this in mind I would like to say that Health Paws has met, and in some senses, exceeded my expectations. It is unusual for a company to have such a well-developed and consistently applied consumer-oriented culture. It is most appreciated, and I would not have any hesitation is recommending it to anyone needing pet insurance; in fact, I've done so several times. I can't imagine an alternative that would be more satisfactory for me and my dogs.

Quick, responsive, caring service!

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance provides quick, responsive, caring service to pet owners. My cat's insurance claims are processed within a few days of the vet visit, and I receive a reimbursement check within a week of filing the claim. The customer care reps are friendly and well-informed, and even check in afterwards to make sure my pet is doing well.

I love Healthy Paws!

I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paws. I have 3 dogs insured by them, and any future dog I have will also be insured by them. They pay promptly - every time. When my dog was in shock after cancer caused her spleen to burst, and I rushed her to the emergency vet, it was a great comfort to know that she was insured. Healthy Paws paid for all of it (except the vet exam fees): intravenous chemotherapy, all of her tests and Rxs, EVERYTHING!. Then, after she had an adverse reaction to oral chemo, Healthy Paws agreed to pay for an alternative remedy for her instead of the oral chemo. Since she has been on the alternative remedy, she is doing so great! She has tons of energy, a good appetite and she is happy again. One of our other dogs recently had a health crises where is platelets dropped extremely low. He was in critical condition, and even though he had only been with us - and insured by Healthy Paws - for about a month, Healthy Paws covered all of his care! Healthy Paws has also paid for laser and chiropractic adjustments (related to an injury) for our dogs. Just to give one example of their GREAT customer service: A while ago, I fax'd in a claim form and invoices to Healthy Paws. I must have turned the papers upside down when I fax'd them, so they came thru to Healthy Paws as blank pages. So Healthy Paws calls me and says "hey, we got a blank FAX, but we figured out it was from you - please re-submit your claim" I couldn't believe that they

Nothing Compares to Healthy Paws Insurance!

My 3 dogs are all insured with Healthy Paws and I wouldn't have it any other way. Four weeks ago today my 2yr old maltipoo, Chip, ruptured a disk in his lower vertebrae and was completely paralyzed from the middle of his back to hind legs. Unable to move, I rushed him to the local Veterinary Specialty Hospital and within a matter of 2hrs he was under the knife and the surgeons were able to relieve the pressure that impinged his spinal cord. After 4 days in the hospital, total costs added up to nearly $8000. I can't even begin to imagine where Chip and I would be without Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Not only did they cover 90% of the hospital costs but are also covering 90% of all physical therapy as well. I can't thank Healthy Paws enough for the support and coverage they provided me throughout this ordeal. No pet insurance even comes close to the incredible Customer Service, Coverage, and Care they provide. When in doubt about choosing which company to insure your pets with don't even think about anyone else. Healthy Paws is THE best out there.
