Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have had too many issues with our puppy who just turned one year old. Who would've thought he would have knee problems that required surgery and medication! And who would have thought he'd ingest part of his cone (numerous times) he had to wear while recovering. Luckily, we were smart enough to insure him with Healthy Paws Insurance. The coverage was great and the claims were processed so fast we couldn't believe it. Healthy Paws gives us the piece of mind when something unexpected happens. Best pet insurance plan ever!

My five-month old kitten sustained facial, gum and teeth injuries from a dog bite. Enlisting my pets with Health Paws was the best decision I have ever made. The claim was reviewed within 48 hours of their receipt of the medical records and paid within a week. They paid everything except the initial office visits which is fully disclosed in their coverage description. They kept me apprised of the claims process daily and followed-up with e-mails asking how my kitten was doing. I am awestruck at how easy the claims process is and how Healthy Paws paid everything they said would be paid according to my benefit level. I have recommended Healthy Paws to my veterinary clinic, the specialty clinic that cared for my kitten, my family and friends, co-workers, and strangers I meet who loves their pets. Coverage is affordable and the reward is we are able to give our pets the best care without having to worry about selling our home to do so. I read the reviews prior to signing up with Healthy Paws, and admit to being skeptical that an insurance company could indeed be so wonderful. Now, through an unfortunate situation, I am able to write my own review and impart how awesome Healthy Paws Insurance is. Life is a gamble, and hopefully my babies will not need to fall upon Healthy Paws again; however, I know they will be there if I need them. I sleep much easier at night knowing that. We have two dogs, an older mixed breed, and a 2 year-old cane corso. They have had various minor health problems in the past, our corso recently required a TPLO surgery for an ACL tear. Because of our past positive experiences with Healthy Paws, we were able to focus on taking care of our pet instead of worrying about how we would be able to afford this expensive surgery ($3600), they have also covered the rehabilitation procedures for him, including cold laser treatments, no questions asked. They are very efficient at processing claims and we have never had any issues in the two years that we have had coverage with them.

My first filing with the company and I was concerned of some "surprise, we don't cover that" even though I triple checked all my fine print and called them before the procedure. Within around a week's time, they replied via email that they were processing my 6 claims. Each email stated everything in plain simple english and then a few days later, the checks were in the mail. It was that simple. Then as if that wasn't good enough. They called and emailed to see how my pet was doing after the major surgery.

If you are considering pet insurance, I cannot speak more highly of Health Paws Pet Insurance! I adopted Angel "The WonderDog" one year after my mother passed away. They say we rescue animals, but in truth, she rescued me. Angel suddenly fell ill just over a year ago. After a 5day hospital stay, her subsequent treatment needed the attention of an internal specialist. Healthy Paws has promptly processed all claims(most payments within 7 days!), to date totaling well over several thousand dollars. They have covered her x-rays, hospital stays, prescriptions, bloodtests, etc... The staff are very considerate and compassionate. I can honestly say, without Healthy Paws, I would not have had the means to keep my wonderdog, she is my world. Thank you Healthy Paws for your excellent service and kind staff.
