So far so good and no complaints

We've had 90% positive experiences in telephone communication. Out of say 20 calls from when we were signing up and had questions and through a few claims that we submitted we've only had one negative communication with them. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs to ensure their pets. We will have our renewal come May and we will see what the increase will be. But so far we have no complaints

Itchy Dog

Our boxer boy has severe allergies. He eats prescription food, takes a daily immuno serum for his allergies and he get a monthly cytopoint shot to help with his itching. Fortunately he is a better position than when this all started. When ever a claim is submitted Pet's Best is always quick to process and reimburse. I have had Pet's Best since he was a puppy. Our boy is now 4 years old! I am thankful everyday that we chose Pet's Best! I highly recommend them!

Horrible experience with my claims

I started with this insurance June 2025. I've submitted two claims, nothing has been covered and I provided ASPCA with copies of all the history of my dog from the last 2 years at their request. I submitted dog history from the vet twice; October and again in November. They indicated on my login tonight I didn't povide the proper documenrtation. It's been 3 months and I've heard nothing. No email, nothing. I do n ot recommend this pet insurance; my last insurance covered within 2 weeks, were great with response. Unfortunately, they are not supporting my state any longer. I was forced to find new pet insurance and after research chose ASPCA. They have terrible response time, no calling, no email within a reasonable time period.

not knowing in advance how pet chips…

not knowing in advance how pet chips work, I was put on this site to call and get my new 5 yr old dog recorded. Guess what - my dog's chip was already in the national database. These people never verified the phone number with the original phone numbers about the dog. The original owner was known to me, and he was upset that he did not get a phone alert from this company nor from the vet facility I took the dog to. no one Called the original owner. Shame on all of them. This is a fake industry, super fake. good luck finding trust.

their coverage is far more limited than what many other pet insurance companies include as standard

My experience with Figo has been consistently disappointing, mainly because their coverage is far more limited than what many other pet insurance companies include as standard. Important items that should be basic — like euthanasia coverage and after‑care/disposal fees — are not included unless you pay extra for multiple riders. It feels less like comprehensive insurance and more like a base plan with a long list of upsells. Another major issue is how Figo handles emergency vet visits. They do not automatically cover emergency exams unless the veterinarian is willing to certify that the situation was “life‑threatening.” The problem is obvious: you don’t know whether something is life‑threatening until the vet actually evaluates your pet. This puts pet owners in an impossible position during stressful moments, and it’s not a requirement I’ve seen with other insurers. Figo insists that all of this is “clearly explained,” but in reality, the only place these limitations are spelled out is deep inside the policy documents. Their coverage summaries and marketing materials are written to sell the policy, not to help you understand what’s actually included. You have to dig through pages of fine print to discover what’s not covered — and there’s a lot that isn’t. Overall, Figo feels more like a sales funnel than a transparent insurance provider. If you’re looking for straightforward, comprehensive coverage without hidden exclusions or required riders for basic protections, I would strongly recommend looking at other companies first.
