Good service but plan coverage reduced drastically thus their plans are not reliable
I had Nationwide for my cat and they were great from 2007 to 2024. I had the full coverage plan, which became expensive as she aged and developed lymphoma at age 15, but it was worth the cost. It helped me tremendously to cover her drugs for the therapy and the visits to the oncologist every three months. The claims process was easy and their website is easy to use. The problem came in 2025, where they dropped the full coverage in California, and limited the annual maximum coverage to $5,000 starting in 2025. This was a drastic reduction in coverage and unfortunately I could not switch to another insurance company due to pre-existing conditions. In 2025 she became ill and required a couple of hospitalizations, so that blew through the $5K within the first three months. For my next cat, I will not be insuring with Nationwide and will seek out another insurance company that has a better reputation for maintaining a full coverage plan through the life of the pet.
So far so good!!!
I never have an issue, easy to work with and fast claim payment(when applicable).

Go pet’s best
I bought this insurance when my puppy was only about four weeks old. About three months after he arrived home, I discovered he had many health issues, including hip dysplasia and digestive sensitivity, among other very difficult problems. He's been to the vet and specialist every time, and even had to go to the emergency room for unexpected events. He's had so many medical issues over the years. Without this insurance, the staggering cost of pet treatment in the US would be completely out of our reach as an ordinary family. I believe that if you love your furry friends and want to provide them with health protection, I highly recommend this insurance; it's been a tremendous help to our family and our dogs.

Filing a claim is always quick and easy. I typically get reimbursed within a few weeks, which is pretty quick to me! I love the piece of mind that Pet’s Best gives me!

I wouldnt say great given they have almost doubled the price for exotic pets and raised the deductible. Other than the excessive cost they have always been really good in sending my reimburstments for vet bills. Not sure how much longer I will keep the insurance if they raise the rates again.

Reliable, trustworthy and excellent coverage!
Trupanion works directly with your vetrinarians office for claim processing if your vets office is set up with the software to process claims. If not, their app is user friendly for you to upload your invoice and process your claim. Their turn around time is within 24 to 72 hours to be reimbursed. I have my checking account set up for reimbursement. They are unbelievably fast and their customers service agents are wonderful to help walk you through the process if needed. The coverage they offer is superior and their montly payments are very reasonable! My Persian cat Sarah has had coverage with Trupanion since she was a baby at 2 months old and she is currently 7 years old. She has been on prescription food for urinary and protein allergy conditions and certain medications for anxiety. Trupanion has been with me every step of the way. My claims have always been paid. They are a reliable trustworthy company to do business with!
