Very helpful with submitting a claim
I was frustrated when trying to file my first claim. I called customer service and they were so helpful. Once I got everything submitted I was reimbursed very quickly, and the coverage was explained detail. I am very happy with the end result.

We recently adopted an older dog
We recently adopted an older dog. We then investigated pet insurance. We looked at many plans and found Pets Best to be the most comprehensive for the money. Yogi recently became ill and was diagnosed with a peritoneal hernia which was obstructing his bowels. He needed emergency surgery! Believe me when I say, that is expensive. Bills totaled over 6000.00 dollars. Submitting our claims to Pets Best could not have been easier. They kept us appraised of their progress reviewing our claims and then they paid exactly what our policy promised. There was no stalling, no delays, nothing. The funds were deposited into our checking account as requested. We could not be happier with our pet insuance choice.

I have had Trupanion for my Golden…
I have had Trupanion for my Golden Retriever for several years. Started w another company but only paid 80%. and I had to send in the invoice after the vet signed the form. This company pays immediately over the phone.My Golden was diagnosed w lung cancer in June of 2021. She has had several rounds of chemo, some failed. Now on a 4th type. I usually pay less than $200 each time. They do not pay for exam but that is little compared to the chemo. CT's scan/xrays have been covered. She usually got an xray between the (I believe) 3 and 4th treatment. I even asked for another in between to make sure the chemo was working and that was covered. This company has saved me a l lot of money. I did have another dog that had a lump that wasn't covered because I didn't enroll him the day I got him and waited too long (even though he could have been covered that day). So other lumps even though different types were not covered but my fault to not get the coverage right away. I suggest everyone to get pet insurance as soon as you can before there is an issue because then it is a pre-existing condition. I still recommend Trupanion because of the simplicity of the claims, the amount they cover. large claims. Injuries and illnesses is very expensive and for the cost of the insurance is well worth it.

Overly costly with underwhelming coverage
I pay $1,128.93 annually. I was led to believe that paying for the top-tiered package with the promise of a 90% reimbursement coverage would benefit my dog. They have just let me know that they will only reimburse up to $535 for wellness per year. Which is well under the amount necessary for even a basic teeth cleaning and wellness exam. What a farce.
