Best Pet Insurance Ever!
This pet insurance is a lifesaver! We got it when we adopted our dog. Everything was extremely easy to set up. The price was reasonable for the year (compared to if we went and did everything on our own), and when we needed to submit the claim, it was extremely easy with payout very quickly.

Easy Process for Buying / Not Used Yet
I've not yet had a reason to use this insurance but choosing it and purchasing it was easy. They gave me the best options and pricing for what I needed and could afford at this time.

Saved our wallet and dog's life
I'd never had pet insurance but after a year or so of periodic "my puppy got into something and we've got to go to the vet" I looked into getting some coverage and decided on Healthy Paws in 2018. I didn't know how important that would end up being in 2019, when my dog started having severe GI issues--vomiting, diarrhea, etc.--that would not go away. We spent a week making daily visits to the 24-hour ER vet to be told on a Friday that her bloodwork showed she had life-threateningly low levels of some proteins in her blood and that the best option was being admitted to a specialist care facility that could monitor her over the weekend. It was hard enough to go through with that but thanks to Healthy Paws, the huge financial cost of the treatment was manageable. We paid upfront for the hospitalization and within a few days got reimbursed for 80% of the cost per the terms of our plan. They continued to cover the follow-up care that our dog needed afterward, and I'm happy to report that our dog has been healthy for over 2 years following that. The main takeaway is that pet insurance is a safety net. It won't cover everything, but it's there when you need it most, and you never know when that day might come.

Absolutely useless. Find faults with covering anything at all
I've had 3 surgeries needed for my dog Tommy since I've had him. Trupanion has been absolutely useless. I decided to keep them and I like to use the " 3 strikes your out policy" I've paid them so much over the years. And for them to only cover $48.02 on this last claim is a slap in the face. . I want my policy canceled immediately. You haven't covered sh*t.

Always so easy and quick to work with!
I work in veterinary medicine so I know everything that could possibly go wrong with my dog. And unfortunately right now everything IS going wrong with my dog. I love having Lemonade in my back pocket because I never have to question if I can afford her care or not. They’re always so quick to process claims and answer any questions I may have, and the policy is so easy to understand. I recommend it to so many of my clients.

They consider diarrhea a pre existing condition
I have been paying $200 a month almost for 3 years now for my 2 dogs. I had to take my chihuahua to the hospital after he had diarrhea and bleeding for a few days . It cost $700 and trupanion covered $0. They said he had diarrhea 3 years ago and went to the same hospital so it was pre existing, like ok? If I have diarrhea today but I also had it 3 years ago do you think it’s for the same reason??? Is diarrhea condition??? I will be canceling and switching to give Fetch insurance a try
