Easy to apply for the insurance
Easy to apply for the insurance and the forms were relatively straight forward. Would recommend, haven't had to use the insurance yet, but I hope they stand up to the same standards I expect.

The representative was vague offered very little guidance.
The representative was vague, offered very little guidance. When I shared the agent's guidance with my veterinarian, my veterinarian said that she had never heard of such a policy from Trupanion before. The agent told me I needed prior authorization to include an overview of the medical treatment plan and costs before Trupanion would pay any costs related to the specialists' (ophthalmologist and cardiologist) that my veterinarian has recommended for my pet. I have an appointment with the specialist tomorrow, and I will be submitting my expenses. I do not want to allow my pet's condition to worsen while I ask specialists to give me an estimate and a medical plan for a pet they have not yet seen. I do know the initial cost will be $138. My veterinarian has submitted a letter to Trupanion explaining why Brillo needs to see a cardiologist and an ophthalmologist.
