These people are outstanding. We had to euthanize our cat due to illness/pain. Trupanion automatically refunded the remaining portion of our insurance for that month without us even asking. They also sent us a lovely sympathy card. While our cat was alive, they were very fair in reimbursing our medical bills - there was never any issue with their payments. We will reinstate the insurance once we get a new cat.
