Claims now paid quickly
We have been customers for almost 3 years. They used to take at least a month to pay a claim. My two recent claims were paid in less than two weeks. Excellent progress!

Very happy with Healthy Paws
Our 8-year old Labrador Retriever was recently hospitalized for liver failure. He is doing well now, but his medical care was quite expensive and would have been a significant financial burden if we had not had pet insurance through Healthy Paws. I have been so pleased with the support we have received from Healthy Paws. I have been recommending it to all my friends. The claims process has been incredibly quick and easy. It is so nice to be able to make decisions based on what is best for our dog and not be overly stressed by the financial burden associated with his specialty care.

Pets Best is absolutely wonderful. I’m so thankful
Pets Best has truly been the best experience. They have been there through the hardest situations pet owners can experience. When My dog was diagnosed with a tumor, Pets Best was there and alleviated one of my most difficult moments, and my dog would not be here today if it wasn’t for Pets Best. Looking for pet insurance is tricky because there are many options and taking a chance on one of them is all we can do. The claims process is very easy, my benefits plan is thorough and easy to understand, my explanation of benefits on my claims is easy to understand, customer service is super responsive, and I get updates on the status of my claims. I can’t think of any negative experience thus far and I 100% recommend Pets Best to anyone shopping for pet insurance. Thank you so much for being a wonderful insurance company!

Expensive, but worth the peace of mind
We've had Pets Best for several years for our dog, and up until recently, we've not ever had to use it for her. We chose a high coverage and paid quite a bit for it, and while we haven't gotten a bigger return than our investment, it did help us navigate an unexpected large bill at one time that would have been very difficult to afford on short notice. It's not like a human health plan where rates are negotiated, it's more like auto insurance where if you have to use it, it's there to smooth out what could be a catastrophic cost, even though you pay for it along the way. It remains to be seen if there's enough financial benefit for this insurance, but it is worth the peace of mind for us, knowing that we have some assistance if an unexpected vet bill comes in from a surprise illness or injury.

Not a great experience with these guys…
Not a great experience with these guys unfortunately. The first claim we made took 5 weeks to process. All communication was restricted to the app. Price was increased by 15% after 5 months. The PDS (Product Disclosure Statement) is not available in .pdf and only on the app. Additionally the app PDS does not share the details of the $ coverage for each aillment (i.e ticks), making it difficult to compare to alternative insurance providers. I've switched to Budget Direct who were significantly cheaper, provide a detailed PDS in .pdf via email and have both an app chat and call centre for any claims/questions.
