Would not recommend this insurance
This is the worst insurance...my claim started in January 2021 and it’s now the end of March 2021 and I have submitted my dogs medical records myself 3 times and they are still holding up my claims and today they said they have to call my veterinarian now for more information...absolutely ridiculous

Wonderful, NO HASSLE, Pet Insurance!
I have never been so pleased with an insurance company - pet or anything else! I submitted claims on two separate occasions for one of my kitties who had some significant health issues. Healthy Paws was fantastic to work with on this already stressful process. They accepted the claim, paid it out without any hassle and paid exactly what they promised. I love this company!! (I have already recommended to friends who signed up).

If you like to pay for insurance and all your vet bills this is the plan for you
This company should have their insurance license removed. PetsBest will find any reason to deny claims. My dog was sick (vomiting) and I took him to the vet. My dog has no history of vomiting, the vet wanted to do a bunch of test and of course I said yes, we have insurance. Almost $500 later I get a denial saying my dog has a history of irritable bowel syndrome. First off he does not (I have copies of all of his records and no where does it say he has IBS) and second no matter what I said they continued to refuse payment. It was the most unethical experience of my life. Now I am out the $500 and all the premium I have paid for nothing.

Wonderful service
My standard poodle has issues with her eyes and Trupanion was so fast and efficient. Got an email from them by the time I came home from the vet. Customer service was excellent.

Policy Filled with Loop Holes
Don't take out a policy AKC Pet Insurance unless you're a lawyer specializing in contract law. They denied a surgery claim a year after a crucial ligament surgery diagnosis claiming that the initial injury happed within a 180 day waiting period despite paying other claims for the same injury. I called to try to discuss the denial but all I got was my policy quoted to me and them conveniently not being able to find the claims that were paid.
