Amazing!
I purchased Trupanion in 2010 when I saw a brochure at Petco. My colleague had been reminding me to get pet insurance on a weekly basis, so I finally did, I went with Trupanion and have been pleased with them ever since. That same colleague cancelled a policy she had with another company after her pet passed away and opened up a new policy with Trupanion when she got her new pet. This of course was after I shared with her how fast the turnaround time was for reimbursement with each claim I submitted. Lucky ended up having bilateral knee surgery for his luxating patella, thank goodness I listened to her. There is an annual increase, but nothing shocking, its expected as our animals age. Lucky is now 10 and has congestive heart failure and is on meds and the reimbursement turnaround time is still super fast, thanks, Trupanion, keep it up!

Deceptive practice
Have a lawyer look over your policy and have explained every last detail on how they can deny a claim. My policy was upgraded from accident only to full coverage and an injury from the accident only policy was no longer covered in the full coverage policy. There was no mention of any issues from a previous policy would no longer be covered. They could not produce any evidence of their sales agent telling me of this policy. pet's best is anything but the best and they are not to be trusted. They are happy to take your money and deny you reimbursement. A typical insurance company that has a team to look over your claim with a fine tooth comb to deny coverage. They're the WORST.

Without Trupanion we may not have had our complete fur baby family
We paid over $15k out of pocket for our Doberman before we had to put her down. Worst day. We also had never carried insurance on our 3-pups at the time. After that invoice hit our account we turned to Trupanion for peace of mind with the other 2 and a new pup we welcomed to the family! We’ve had nothing but great experiences with them including another unexpected large payment for a surgery on one pup that without Trupanion, I’m not 100% sure that pup would still be with us. I recommend them time and time again! Great people who have done right by us every time!!
