My precious dog Summer didnt have to face a death sentence , thanks to Embrace .
When my dog Summer was just a puppy I purchased Embrace pet insurance . I knew I would spend any amount of money to save her if she should get cancer or something major . Fast forward 10 years and we ran into trouble , a hugh tumor came up right at the anal gland , three Vets told me it would most certainly be cancer and even if benign it would be all into the nerves controlling colon and bladder . The biospy came back benign , our vet was so excited to tell us ; however, it had to come out , it was growing very rapidly and would take over and kill her even though it would not metastasize to other organs . I started looking for Vets that specilize in these type tumors , I located one in Nashville Tennessee . I made and appointment and she was operated on three days later . It was baseball size , went very deep and had many fingers branching out ; however , it had not grown into the nerves !! She is five day out of surgery and doing great ! Embrace was easy to work with , I filed claims , embrace approved within days . This was the first claims I have had with embrace , I couldn’t be more pleased with their service .The Vet told us most dogs are euthanized because of the expense of removing these tumors . All I can say Is Embrace took the expense worry away and I got to keep my precious Summer ! I would not have a pet that was not insured ! Highly recommend Embrace !

More like a scam than legitimate coverage
We are cancelling our insurance and wish we had not fallen for this racket. Our dog required surgery and in spite of our vet letters detailing how our dog developed his condition and needed surgery, embrace claimed this was not covered because our dog was “born with that risk”- They might have been good in the past; I don’t know if the positive reviews are old or outdated, but it seems Embrace looks for any technicality not to cover claims.

This has been an awful experience
This has been an awful experience. I have not had more than $29 reimbursed from trupanion because an isolated incident (sliding intussusception) has made every claim for diarrhoea or vomiting ineligible. I have appealed before, but now they require an appeal for every single claim I make. I have spent so much money for a service I am not receiving. My vet has confirmed this is not normal and should be addressed, but their appeals process is so difficult and must involve my vet for every single denied claim.
