terrible customer service; do not communicate; difficult to get claims processed
This company does not communicate. I have sent three emails in past two months without response. Previous to this, had to call and email - as did my vet office - NUMEROUS times before claims were acknowledged. Had to keep prompting them to pay out the claims. Looking for another insurance now for my dog.

The claim took over two weeks I'm not sure where the problem was with the vet clinic or Trupanion but I had to get involved and get the records myself to send for review I don't feel this should have been my responsibility based on the amount I pay

Trupanion is one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. They were kind, compassionate and the claims process was very easy. Trupanion made the difficulty and heartbreak of losing my precious Ciccio just a bit more tolerable. They didn't add insult to injury with prolonging the process.
