Resolved an issue with billing and gained my trust.
I was able to use the pet insurance for the first time. This is the only pet insurance I've ever purchased. After submitting the invoice from the vet (which was easy to do) they followed with payment. I was confused as to why it didn't cover what I thought should be. I called them, they decided to review it and realized the mistake made. They contacted me via email and text to let me know they had resolved the issue and sent additional payment directly to my bank account. I was very happy that what I originally thought was correct. They are highly recommended.

Subjectivity of Trupanion not worth the financial risk….
I was skeptical about pet insurance to begin with, and my skepticism has only been reaffirmed. I would not recommend Trupanion. As with most insurance claims, each case is subjective. At the conclusion of my case, it was determined by Trupanion that my kitten had a “pre-existing condition.” Sadly, that is subjective epicenter regarding whether or not an insurance company will cover your pet’s claim. If you want to avoid the subjectivity of a pet insurance claim, then avoid Trupanion. Our story was this. We received our Ragdoll kitten from our breeder. The kitten was 12 weeks old. He had his proper vaccines, was dewormed, and was given a clean bill of health from our breeders veterinarian before he was delivered to us. We have the paperwork to support this. 48 hours after receiving the kitten, his mood and physical condition took a turn for the worse. It became so concerning, that we ultimately took him to a emergency pet clinic where they put him on an IV drip for dehydration and monitored his condition. To this day, the veterinarian doctor is not 100% sure what caused this illness. The suspicion was a parasite, which is not uncommon for a kitten or a puppy. It was a very traumatic experience, and ultimately cost us $1200 for services rendered. In a time when we needed coverage the most, our claim was denied. Why? Pre-existing conditions. In the end we payed 1200 out of pocket as we would have not having Trupanion. If there was ever a case where one would need pet insurance, this surely would’ve been it. And our claim was denied. As the saying goes, “you pay your money, you take your chances,” and I won’t ever take a chance with Trupanion coverage again. It’s really up to each individual buyer, and I would say buyer beware. If you have ever had any skepticism regarding pet insurance, I can assure you, there is a reason why. And don’t be fooled by Trupanion’s rebuttal to my review. You will see firsthand the silver tongued attempt to smooth out the situation and make my situation the problem, not theirs. The situation was anything but smooth, and instead the whole incident was quite unpleasant. In the end, bottom line, regardless of the tit-for-tat dialogue, the claim was denied. Subjectivity of pre-existing conditions is a major loophole for denying claims. Frankly, the extra money out of pocket for Trupanion is simply not worth it. If you are worried about expensive pet medical bills in the future, simply budget for it, like you would budget for anything else. Having animals is expensive, whether you have pet insurance or not. So be prepared and budget for it. The world of pet ownership and vet bills existed long before Trupanion, and it will exist long after.

When my pups were young and very healthy, it seemed a waste of money to pay monthly for insurance! However I was wrong!! Now that they are old, conditions start to take their toll on my living expenses. Even though you have to meet a deductible for each illness, Trupanion has now become a big help with my vet bills. When I submit a vet bill, I have peace of mind that they will help. They have been quick to respond and reimburse me right away. As a senior now on a fixed income, I appreciate the help!

I believe Healthy paws is great…
I believe Healthy paws is great insurance for your Pet. Our dog had back surgery, that involved MRi, and two days in hospital. Now we have physical therapy. It's easy to submit invoices or doctors notes they need. The turn around time is not long. Healthy paws also sent me an email asking how our dog is doing. I don't know any insurance company who does that. I am very happy healthy paws helped us out. You never know when something goes wrong with your pet how things are going to turn out. I recommend this company. 😊

Best pet insurance
Our five year old cat swallowed plastic and became seriously ill with hepatic lipadosis. She had to be hospitalized. I've never been so happy to have pet insurance. She has made a full recovery. Healthy Paws was so responsive and sent reimbursement right away. I wish people health insurance worked as seamlessly. Thank you so much Healthy Paws.

I booked insurance for a piece of mind and clearly I should've just told my self no and gone with a different provider. All Im getting from my claims is deny deny deny deny and Im under unlimited insurance package. Hoping my next claim doesn't get denied, none of my 4 pervious claims have even been applied to my deductible which means at end of year given my pet is in good health I still have to pay. I was better off with Liberty Mutual they actually process claims in a timely manner not wait month and a half to deny you like PetsBest and Liberty Mutual calls you with an explanation as to why it was denied. ALL IN ALL LEARNING EXPERIENCE THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME WHAT I DONT WANT IN PET INSURANCE.

Trupanion is THE BEST!
Trupanion has been wonderful to work with. There is never any question about claims as long as you provide all the necessary documentation. The turnaround on reviewing claims and sending payment is remarkable. My last claim was paid in 2 days and deposited in my bank. Considering the issues my Bernedoodle has had with elbow dysplasia, signing up for Trupanion was my best idea in years. I highly recommend it to anyone considering pet insurance. I also recomment signing up for the Recovery and Complementary Care Rider. It covers laser treatment, accupuncture and PRP treatment and more.
