Impressed with the ease of receiving…
Impressed with the ease of receiving insurance but would love to see a break down of the coverage like most other companies. I am surprised that you are not requiring information on heating such as the W.H.E.T. inspection on homes with wood burning stoves or inserts. Also would like to see paperwork associated with coverage for my file and proving a hard copy for those that do not have access to a printer or a computer. I see you can can put a copy on line but the details are vague. Appreciate the opportunity to review your service. After a year of coverage and perhaps a claim I can become comfortable with this unique style of insurance and request insurance for other properties I own. At this time I am hesitant and are testing the waters. Regards

Please find somewhere else to buy your insurance from. They will either not pay out your claim, or make up some reason to not pay it. Please be warned.

Very upset and $4,000 in debt
I've been a client for 6 years with my dog and never had a problem until I got coverage for my cat. They are declining coverage for any diarrhea related illness even though he was never diagnosed by a veterinary professional. I was paying my premiums for over a year for my cat and was surprised to find out I was not covered. I am currently in debt $4,000 because they will not cover. I've tried speaking with two supervisors and both have not been responsive. It's really impossible to talk to anyone and have them follow through. The first supervisor needed to speak to my vet, my vet reached out and she never called her back and or replied to my vets email. The second supervisor I have been in contact with since October 5, and I have sent 4 check-in emails. Only one was answered and stated claims is very overwhelmed and she will follow up. That last communication was October 29. I'm so disappointed because their whole mission statement is "were here when you need us and when your pet needs us" I can not afford surprise thousand dollar vet visits so I thought I was being smart but I have paid my premiums and now being declined.

Thank you Trupanion for helping my beautiful kitty. Getting insurance from Trupanion was the best decision I ever made. I hoped I would never need it but I wanted the security that if my baby ever got sick or hurt I wouldn't have to base my decision on getting him help a financial one. I chose Trupanion because there were no yearly limits and I chose the deductible to make my payments more or less. My maine coon ended up having 2 hip surgeries, 8 weeks apart, I would never have been able to afford it on my own, and I would never have been able to save up for it, he's not even 2 years old yet. The process was simple, no questions asked, the claim paid within a day. Thank you, thank you, best monthly cost I ever spent. I will continue to recommend Trupanion.
