Masters of not reimbursing veterinary fees
After having the experience of submitting several claims I can only warn any potential customers to avoid this company like the plague. They are masters of always finding a way to deny your claims and to pay for the cheapest items on your invoice. For example my dog had an eye condition and they covered almost nothing after the deductible was applied, then whe I went to see a specialist and paid close to $600 for the consultation, procedure and medications they covered ony $60 claiming the the Ophthalmologist consultation was not covered!!! And by the way their decision CANNOT be appealed. it's FINAL. Stay Away, you are hereby warned.

I have had 2 great experiences with Spot. They assisted me in calling my dogs vet to get financial information I did not have. I was surprised at how quickly I received reimbursement for payment.Thanx Spot for excellent service!

This is in response to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation. My statement/complaint against your company is accurate and I stand corrected by it. I have paid you alooot of money and you have denied pretty much most of claims which by the way are just a few, and yes I'm a policy holder of your insurance but I would never refer you to anyone, you are not a good company and all those good reviews are mostly from your partners which I find extremely biased. You asked me to put my dog's policy in a public forum, why would you do that? That is like asking you to put your SS for the public to see. No you are not a good company, unfortunately I'm stuck with you, only because my dog is an older dog.

I am very satisfied with Spot Pet Insurance. The customer service team has been very polite and helpful on the phone. When I called about the status of a recent claim, I was quickly connected with an agent; I did not have to spend an hour on hold or navigating an automated phone system. I am also very pleased with the outcome of my claim. Spot reimbursed me promptly and fairly for my dog’s recent health emergency. Overall, a very positive experience.

Spot Pet Insurance has been invaluable…
Spot Pet Insurance has been invaluable to me. I got a 2 yr old dog that is now 3. He needed to be neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped so I signed up for preventative, not thinking a three year old would have illnesses and emergencies. Glad I signed up for it all. Didn’t really know what I was getting into…there are other issues. The last bill I submitted had a estimate included for an ultrasound that Spot never addressed. That’s why I gave them four stars instead of five. We are going ahead with the ultrasound… Don’t know if it will be covered or not. Hope so…they have been helpful so far.

Trupanion customer service always goes…
Trupanion customer service always goes above and beyond to ensure customers feel appreciated and cared about. When my pet had a heart issue the bill was $10K which was anxiety provoking, but a refund of the covered portion of the bill was provided within 2-5 business days. Excellent service!

Our little puppy had xylitol poisoning…
Our little puppy had xylitol poisoning ( through chewing gum or a piece of cake) at the park and had to be admitted into hospital for 4 days - the docs didn’t give her much of a chance to survive as her liver enzymes were off the charts - but she made it and spot insurance made it so easy for us - they kept their promise and we got paid within a week of our doggie getting discharged - these guys are good!
